Learning objectives:
  This course introduces students into principles of IBM zSeries servers and their maintenance. Students will learn general principles as well as exercise monitoring and maintaining of common applications running on zSeries servers.

Controlled instruction:
  No attadance on lectures is monitored. Attendance computer labs is recorded. Dutiful attendance in at least 75 % of computer labs is necessary for accreditation.
Progress assessment:
  Students can obtain up to 20 points from computer labs, up to 30 points from homeworks, and up to 50 points from two tests. The first test that concentrate on topics discussed withint first five weeks will take place in the middle of semestr. The second test that concentrate on all topics discussed within the course will take place at the end of semestr.
Exam prerequisites:
  Students get points from computer labs, individual homeworks, and tests. For the accreditation, it is necessary to actively participate in at least 75 % of computer labs and, at the same time, get at least 50 points.

Plagiarsm as well as non-permitted cooperation within computer labs and homeworks or cheating during tests ;will cause that involved students are not classified and disciplinary action may be initiated.
